A speech is a formal address delivered to an audience. Unlike an essay, a speech must sound conversational and engaging. Master the CBSE layout below!
1. The Salutation 🎤
You must always begin by greeting your audience. Example: “Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends…”
2. Introduction & Hook 🎣
Introduce yourself (using the name given in the question) and clearly state your topic. Start with a quote or a rhetorical question to grab their attention immediately.
3. Conversational Body 🗣️
Use words like “I”, “We”, “You”, and “Us” to connect with the audience. Discuss the causes and effects of the issue, and provide clear examples or facts.
4. The Mandatory “Thank You” 🙏
End with a strong call to action or a hopeful message for the future. You MUST write “Thank you” at the very end of your speech. Forgetting this will cost you marks!
